Weekend Message

Lassen View Families,

Monday, September 23rd, is a minimum day with kindergarten through 3rd grades dismissing at 12:45 p.m. and 4th and 5th grades dismissing at 12:50 p.m.

Cross Country continues this week with 3rd, 4th and 5th grades practicing on Tuesdays from 1:50-2:20 p.m. and kindergarten through 5th grades practicing on Wednesdays from 1:50-2:20 p.m. Our Cross Country meet is on Thursday, September 26th at Rother school. Runners need to report to Coach Feagin at 3:00 p.m. and races begin at 3:15 p.m.

PTO is off and running with the first fundraiser Cookie Dough sales starting last Friday, September 20th through Friday, October 4th. Students should have brought home their packets with prize lists, catalogues and order forms. We are excited as this fundraiser makes all of our fun, family events possible. Our first event is fast approaching, the annual Harvest Festival is scheduled for Friday, October 11th. This week PTO will have an evening work meeting on Wednesday, September 25th from 4:30-6:30 p.m. to prepare, plan and organize for the Harvest Festival. Childcare will be provided and even if you can't stay the whole time, come join the fun.

This year our Kindness Counts Club and Student Council are combining for 4th and 5th grade Kindness Council. Elections are up and coming and the club will meet this Friday, September 27th from 1:50-2:45 p.m. in Room 19 with Mrs. Gonzales.

Speaking of elections, I am looking for two parents to join our School Site Council this year. We only meet four times per year and would love your input. Let me know if you're interested.

We have many ways for you to contribute to the Lassen View community. Thanks for all you do to support our school.
