Lassen View Families,
Wow! This has truly been an adventure. By now most of you have picked up your enrichment packets with student work. These were designed by teachers to take us through the three weeks up to spring break. Moving forward we will be designing lessons through a distance learning model. Teachers will be in contact with you, some through email, some through their app (Bloomz, Class Dojo or Class Craft) and some through Google Classroom. We know that in order to move to a Distance Learning model, all of our families will need an electronic device. We will offer our 2nd Distribution Day on Tuesday, March 31st at Alta Mesa School. From 11:00-1:00 p.m. families of kindergarteners through 8th graders can drive through and check-out a district chromebook. Remember this is one per family and only for those who don't already have a device at home.
Each EESD student has a gmail account. This allows them to communicate with their teachers, only, not each other or outside the EESD network.
Please also know that all of our chromebooks and Google accounts are filtered and students need to be careful about the websites and searches they are entering. We have already had several violations.
If you are having difficulty accessing WiFi, Charter/Spectrum is offering free WiFi for educational purposes if you live an area where it is available. You can also drive to any EESD school or the District Office to access our WiFi.
If you need any assistance or need to order a Chromebook, please contact our Tech Department at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Breakfast & Lunches will continue to be served this week, however the service will not be available during the week of spring break, April 6-10th.
Finally, we miss all your smiling faces. The Lassen View staff will parade the LV neighborhoods on Thursday, April 2nd to wish you a happy spring break. Please wear your LV Blue and wave to us as we drive by. A schedule will be posted on the LV Facebook page.
We can't wait to get back to school and see you all once again!
